About My Voice in Zimbabwe

My Voice in Zimbabwe, takes a comprehensive approach to addressing Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights challenges by incorporating policy advocacy, tailor-made health and rights educational courses, and livelihood development and strengthening. We empower youth by promoting sustainable livelihoods through skills training and income-generating opportunities. Simultaneously, My Voice utilizes an innovative education model to provide accurate Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information. We organization collaborates with Specialist Training Model Advisors who contribute their expertise to the development of evidence-based programs and sustainable solutions.

My Voice engages in policy advocacy to shape legislation and policies that promote Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and address systemic barriers. By combining these approaches, My Voice aims to create lasting change and improve the overall well-being and rights of young people in Zimbabwe regarding SRHR.

NOTE: VOLUNTARY POSITION

The Training and Capacity Building Officer/FTM Officer will be responsible for planning and providing capacity development related support to ensure the efficient and effective execution of training programs within the My Voice in Zimbabwe education training model system called Funda-Taura-Miririra Model. He/she will be work closely with the Program Manager and will regularly attend all FTM relevant meetings such as the FTM Expert Training Unit and FTM forums.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain current knowledge of the program and of issues impacting community sponsorship, identifying opportunities, challenges and best practices.
Lead in the development and implementation of a technical assistance plan, inclusive of training and resource development.
Facilitate My Voice in Zimbabwe’s Funda-Taura-Miririra Model peer sharing, expert-led capacity building sessions or other opportunities for capacity building, emphasizing interactive opportunities for engagement.
Coordinate with the organization staff to ensure alignment with other program activities.
Serve as a support to FTM in navigating challenges with benefits and services access. Elevate challenges to the Program Manager,
Develop FTM training materials, including those for initial onboarding and ongoing capacity building.
Support in the delivery of training in close collaboration with My Voice staff.
Provide targeted mentoring support to participants of each of the training programs.
Extend support and guidance to team members in developing training curriculum, manuals, modules, and relevant guidelines including training and learning materials (flip chart, flashcard, process card, booklet, handout, video learning aid, etc), and in training courses,
Work cross-functionally to implement systems for measuring, monitoring, and evaluating the effectiveness of the capacity-building approaches.
Collaborate with team members to promote best practices and ensure the organization’s website, e-bulletins, newsletters and other publications are up to date.
Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Undergraduate degree or Master’s Degree in health-related fields such as Health Promotion, Education or in Human Resources or other related field.
Experience in training programs, project management or capacity building activities.
Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
