Context
Today Non-Governmental Organizations have realized that it is their basic responsibility to show accountability towards their donors and the public. They have to constantly work with an
outcome focus and think long-term impact. As a consequence, NGOs are currently under pressure to prove themselves by increasing their organizational effectiveness, and accountability to
showcase their impact on society. Good governance is the one method that helps NGOs to strengthen their internal systems and processes in their organization. At the centre of good
governance are the organization`s board of directors and the senior management, whose efficiency and relationship will determine the success of the organization in its mandate. Thus, to
this end, the Zimbabwe Network of Early Childhood Development Actors (ZINECDA), as the lead organization is seeking the services of a consultant firm or individual that can facilitate a training
workshop on internal governance and financial management, leadership development/management, and resource Mobilisation. ZINECDA in partnership with Lesotho National ECD Coalition of
Lesotho (NECDOL), the Malawi ECD Coalition, Eswatini Early Childhood Network (EECN), Zambia National Education Coalition (ZANEC) and Rede para o Desenvolvimento da Primeira Infância (RDPI) are implementing a transnational advocacy capacity building project which seeks to Improve Early Childhood Education, legislations, policies, strategies and services in Southern
Africa. This project is implemented in Lesotho, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zambia running from 2023 through to 2026.

1. Objective and purpose of the consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to develop stronger good governance, resource mobilisation and leadership competencies for resilient ECD networks’ board trustees and senior management
for better EOL project and organisation implementation capacity through a facilitated workshop over a 3-day hybrid (physical and virtual) training workshop.

2. Details of how the work should be delivered
The assignment consists of the following components:
– Development of appropriate program content and training manual to be used for the facilitated workshop.
– Facilitate the 3-day practical and participative workshop.
– Produce a workshop report that is brief, analytic, and futuristic oriented.

3. Key Deliverables
• Good governance and leadership training manual containing alignment of organizational policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
• A facilitated workshop that fosters a sound working relationship between management and the board of directors.
• Workshop report

4. Timeframe and Duration
The consultant should be available to start as soon as possible and be available for three days of the training most likely from xx to xx 2024.

5.Payment schedule
The winning consultant will be paid 50% of the total agreed service amount after acceptance of the content development and training manual while the balance will be paid upon the acceptance
of the workshop report.
