Job Summary

Mavambo Orphan Care (MOC) is a non-profit making organisation established in 2001 to safeguard and protect children and vulnerable households from abuse, exploitation, and violence. MOC works with OVC, Adolescents, Youths, and their Caregivers through provision of health, child protection, education, legal, parenting, economic, strengthening and nutrition. Mavambo Orphan Care is employing a School Feeding Programme Manager for its School Feeding Programme in Harare, Mashonaland East, and Central provinces (Feeding children in their place of education).

Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience

A master’s degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Agriculture, Nutrition, Education, Development Studies, Public Health, Nursing or any other);
At least 5 -7 years managing school or community feeding programme/s in NGOs or Government;
Experience of liaising with Government, NGOs and community groups;
Class 4 Driver`s Licence a must;
Class 3 Driver’s is an added advantage;
Proven leadership and team building skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally; Effective programme management skills, including programme design and planning, budget preparation, reporting and review and sharing of best practice;
Good numeracy, with experience of data recording, collation and analysis for decision making; Highly resilient, self-reliant and motivated, with the ability to organise own work and prioritise tasks;
Team management experience, including engaging and motivating a team of staff;
Highly computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office (excel and word) and Internet and power point; and
Proficiency in report writing, documenting and community and Government engagement.
