Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities
• The successful candidate must be able to:-
• Ensure the show runs on time, has enough content and work with various staff
• Generate and research ideas for programs, source on air contributors, write and
develop scripts, select music for the show and listen on recordings to edit them into
stories or segments
• Present programs on-air or manage the presenters for pre-recorded or live broadcast
content.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
The positon requires an individual with:-
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Radio or Media Production, Media Studies, or Mass Communication/Theatre Arts.
• A Master of Arts or Master of Science Degree in a Media related area is an added advantage.
• Experience working for a radio or television station
• A good knowledge of the heritage based Education 5.0
• Excellent written communication organisational and time management skills
• Good leadership skills
• Creative skills;
