About the role

The role works within the International Department Programmes and the wider programme funding and development remit. The role sits within the Christian Aid Zimbabwe country programme. The key function of the role is to facilitate, manage and coordinate projects actions that support Gender Justice and Economic Justice in the Zimbabwe country programme and ensure quality projects implementation while building and maintaining sound relationships with key stakeholders. The post-holder oversees work with partner organisations to ensure the Gender and Economic Justice initiatives are coordinated effectively in line with CA Zimbabwe country programme strategy priorities and policies.

Key delivery areas for this role include programme quality oversight for gender and economic justice interventions. The role must also deliver on project design, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation to enhance internal and external learning. The role additionally supports overall country programme development, fundraising initiatives, providing technical advice and sharing information on Economic Governance across the Country programme. The role will also engage with stakeholders, connecting with other CA teams, promote communications, fundraising and representing Christian Aid in relevant forums.

About you

You have experience in working with Partners in Projects and Programme management. You are familiar with the partnership approach (ability to work with networks including faith partners), Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. You have over 2 years working with a Development Agency and has experience in reporting, proposal development and strategy management.

Your expertise in programme management includes macro and micro economic governance, gender justice, economic policy analysis, lobby and advocacy in Zimbabwe and other developing contexts. You are competent in the use of various monitoring, evaluation and learning tools, data collection, analysis and presentation methodologies. You can conduct partner assessments, capacity building and develop partnerships. You have sound practical knowledge of gender and inclusion, movement building and Core Humanitarian Standardssafeguarding & accountability. You can communicate results and actions effectively on social media and other platforms.

You have excellent writing and facilitation skills, a University Degree in Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences or a related field.

Further information

This role requires applicants to have the right to work in Zimbabwe where this position is based. The incumbent must be a permanent resident of Zimbabwe.  Successful candidate will be expected to start immediately. 

Contract terms: This is a 12 months fixed-term contract with a possibility for extension.
