Fixed-Term Contract

Bantwana Zimbabwe (BZ) seeks an experienced candidate for the role of Administration and Finance Assistant for the Kindernothilfe-funded Self Help Group project. The SHGA empowers the most vulnerable women and children within a community to attain adequate sustainable economic and social living conditions as well as social participation by unleashing and developing their potential in groups and networks. Kindernothilfe, which means ‘help for children in need’, supports more than 1.5 million children and young people in 29 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. In Zimbabwe, Kindernothilfe (KNH) has been working in cooperation with local organizations since 2013 and is currently supporting programs that are implemented by a variety of local partners.  The SHGA tackles the structural causes of poverty by empowering women to increase family income, to address social concerns at household and community levels, including by using the numbers and knowledge which they have gained.

Reporting to the National Coordinator, the Administration and Finance Assistant will primarily focus on providing administrative support to the Self Help Group National Coordination Office (NCO) and assisting with relevant financial tasks as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in performing general administrative tasks, such as Initiating procurements, seeking quotations, and liaising with the Procurement Department
• Filing all KNH financial vouchers systematically in accordance with the organizational policies,
• Assist with travel arrangements and logistics, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
• Assist in managing inventory and office supplies, ensuring timely reordering and stock replenishment.
• Provide administrative support to the NCO in liaison with relevant departments
• Collaborate with NCO, Finance, and Procurement team members to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma in Administration, Purchasing and Supply, and Accounting.
• CIPS level 3 is an added advantage
• Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably with exposure to finance-related tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
