Health Promotion Officer

A local faith based Non-Governmental Organization involved in development, advocacy and humanitarian work seeks to fill the following vacant position:

Job Title: Health Promotion Officer

Purpose of Position:

To design and implement health promotion strategies to raise awareness on disease prevention and control, and improve sanitation practices among target communities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health promotion plans and materials.
• Conduct community outreach and engagement activities.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders, healthcare providers, and community leaders.
• Organize training sessions, workshops, and events.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress.
• Develop and disseminate IEC materials (posters, flyers, brochures).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Health Promotion, Nursing or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in health promotion, community outreach, or public health.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Experience working with local communities and stakeholders.
